New mixtape from South East Asian philanthropists Prince Klassen & Mike 2600. The mix consists of mostly 60’s Thai & Cambodian psych rock/funk tunes that benefits the Cambodian youth outreach program, Tiny Toones, an organization based in Cambodia's capital city of Phnom Penh. Tiny Toones is a youth center which provides a safe environment for at-risk Cambodian youth. By learning breakdancing, hip hop music production, English and Khmer language, computer skills, painting, and drug prevention / harm reduction, hundreds of Cambodian youth are given an opportunity to develop the self-confidence to want to do something positive with their lives. Johan Ess - Esshatology

Relatively unbeknownst to the general populace, a dark but benevolent force lurks in the sweltering depths of the dirty south. That okkvlt/mutant/weirdo energy is incarcerated in the form of one JOHAN ESS. Although all his works, under his various personae, are incredibly excellent, I highly recommend this piece of early classic Ess, as it has become a personal favorite of mine.

Fellow space pirate, sociopolitical guru, musical schizoid and uber-homie D. Bene Tleilax did a tribute to one of his favorite artists, a dude named Bach, a while back... I listened to it muchly and decided to post it here today. It is sort of a modern incarnation of that old Wendy Carlos classic, "Switched on Bach" and some have referred to it as "Glitched on Bach".
