What is Magicore?

Magicore:
-noun

1.) A free music blog offering a eclectic variety of metal and electronica. The music on this blog is offered for free download by the artists, and is syndicated from various net labels. Currently posts are made by [tlr], tooth_eye, a.beautiful.lotus, Johan Ess and DCKR. *

2.) A style of music primarily deriving influence from various genres of metal, electronic dance music, video-game music, and Japanese pop music. Magicore albums are conceptual in nature and revolve around a science fiction / fantasy storyline, with characters and settings.

3.) A crystal imbued with magical power and used as a energy source for a golem.

* The music on this blog is not "magicore" music, because not enough magicore style music exists to write a free music blog about. However, we try to post stuff that in some way captures the spirit of magicore. But sometimes we just post cool free music.
