Little Mack aka Josh Hedges of Ann Arbor, MI has been breakin' beats in a very core fashion going on 10 years now. I was downloading his shit before there was even a Tooth_Eye. Despite all the time that has gone by, Little Mack is still bringing the raw ass beats. Over the past couple years dark ambience and a good dose of experimentation has wiggled its way into his work, with no ill side effects. "Rock and Rock" is 7 beefy originals plus 1 remix by the ever elusive John Stone. Check this album out at Little Macks label Raveyard and while you're there be sure to check out some of the other stuff released. While you are there be sure to check out Magics Marker, Josh's other project (if you dig the more ambient sounds on this album). Magics Marker contains very little breakcore, but plenty of tripped out experimentation that will keep you plenty happy on boring, stoney afternoon.
