Hailing from the smoketacular city of Denver, Audio Organism brings you a collection of soulful dope beats called Funhouse that will likely make you nod your head in the car and also cause your ass to do odd things whilst on the dance floor. Enjoy!
Very solid electro release from Overwerk, recommended to me by my friends at Hiphop Makers. EP download includes some extra goodies like ringtones and wallpaper, a nice touch.
Super stoked!!! Captain Ahab is one of my favorite Los Angeles acts and they just made their whole Bandcamp discog pay-what-you-can! So you now have no excuse to not listen to this amazing music.
A new craze is sweeping the internets and it is called Turdstep. Yes my friends, this innovative new genre utilizes the natural harmony of the bowels in a way that nobody could have predicted. Think dubstep but all the wobbles are replaced with fart samples instead.
True filth. Be sure to check this half hour mix of turdstep by Slish N Slosh called "We Can't Believe You People Are Still Coming To This Shit".
The Covers Album features great tracks by R. Stevie Moore, Harry Marry, John Maus, John Frusciante, Fang, Lou Barlow, J. Mascis, The Breeders, Nirvana, Brain Bombs, Sonic Youth, The Amps, Peggy Lee, Tom Waits, and Molly Nilsson all performed by Dino Felipe.
If you like noise, you should know who Prurient is. His new album is getting a fair bit of love from the critics, so naturally Fact asked him for a mix. It's a good one. Somewhere between noise, ambient, and heady dance music is where Prurient aligns himself for this nearly 2 hour long session. Get your head right and check it out.
DARK. REALLY REALLY DARK. A mish mash of harsh noise and breakcore. A man after tooth_eye's heart. 4 tracks of intense ass sound blitzkriegs. Woulda made Nazi's poop 'em selves.
Goreshit. Lovely Lovely true true LOLI LOLI. Known for his anime influenced music and art. This album changes nothing. From track 1 you have pitched up jpop vocals with a smattering of hard/fast electronic genres. He puts the loli lolicon. K-ON approved!
Some pretty epic sort of shoegaze blackmetal or something. One guy inside a 1971 Airstream at the O Zone farm in Shelton Washington during the summer and autumn of 2011. It's really good if you're into that sort of far out black metal with all sorts of melody and epic shit going on or that sort of more twisted and distorted dark chillwave type stuff. Or both. It's pretty fuckin' cool, that's all I know.
You know that night where you did a bunch of acid, drank a couple cases of beer, and smoked down an entire bag while sitting in front of some gear with your homies thinking it sounded so awesome. That's what Magical Penis Thief bring us with their release on the incredible Immigrant Breast Nest netlabel entitled "A Rabbit Pooped In His Arms". Except, even the next day or week or month later when you listen to this, unlike aforementioned evening of fun and noises, it still sounds way rad. Crazy noises, squelches, beeps, blips, sub basses, ever changing ebbs and flows of percussive elements, fuzzes, hisses - battling it out for sonic center stage, sometimes with the ferocity of a crazed animal and sometimes with a subtle well executed combo move.
Magicore's bringing you something very special today. A video game, the original soundtrack for said video game, and a remix album of the original soundtrack. The video game is one of the most successful freeware games of all time, Cave Story. Besides being available for just about any operating system or device, it now has a 3D incarnation on Nintendo's 3DS. Cave Story is a 2d platformer ala Metroid or Castlevania. Uniquely Japanese in appearance, it will definitely be loved by otakus all over the world. That is if they haven't already heard of it. For the non-japanese obsessed, it provides solid and extremely enjoyable gameplay.
The music for Cave Story is your classic Nintendo/Super Nintendo 8bit. Nostalgia is induced constantly. The remix album provides a wide range of interpretations through many genres. Hip Hop instrumentals, blissful Ambient, Neo-Classical arrangements. And of course, a healthy dose of Chiptune antics. The Remix Album is made up of 3 CDs in all.
You all have alot of listening and happy game time ahead of you! Keep an eye on this page, I plan to do a similar post for another free 2d platformer, the fantastic Spelunky!
There's a reason you've seen his name a few times on this blog. James Doesn't Exist does it once again, and for free once more on Grindcore Karaoke. Check yo dome piece if ya not rating this one.
Hashish and Raw Meat is an album that was recorded across the United States. It contains to live sets and two tracks are collaborations. This album is a fantastic example of Jay Watson's Dental Work project. Dental Work is a mash of harsh noise, turn tableism, glitch, breakcore, and anything else that happens to emerge from the unique psyche that is Jay Watson. You dig through the waves of harsh noise wall to find dirt covered gems, samples of 80s soul and rock n roll, hip hop that just won't stop and horses that go clip clop clip clop. Ive had the honor to play with Dental Work many times now, every appearance, every audience is not dissapointed. Below is a picture of Jay getting down live.
Here is an excerpt from the interview with Dental Work and Final Trauma Recordings:
FTR: How would you describe your sound and working process?
This project is a de-tuned regurgitation of sound and imagery that I feel the lust to create, capture, manipulate, and export in a ritualistic manner. This “music” is an unclassifiable genre of its own, melding all kinds of sounds. It is a rare mixture of Musique Concrete, Extreme Psychedelic, Anxiety, Experimental, Harsh Noise, Diseased Power Electronics, Microwaved Ganja Gangsta Salsa, Dish Washer Cream Puff Pop, Laundryhazmat Hyphy Gorgonzola, Clitoris Booster Shot Show Tunes, Hallucinogenic 8-Bit/16-Bit/Chip Deformities, Improv, Post-Breakcore, Post-Industrial, IDM, Ghettotech, Tape Manipulations, Glitch, DIY Punk, Cut-Up Audio Nightmare Recreations, Supernatural AM Radio Transmissions,, Keta-Drone, Lysergic Turntable-ism, Maximum Discomfort, Spiritual De-pantsing, Rigorous Mental Questioning, Forbidden Pre-teen Fascinations , Ebony Pornography Obsessions, Authentic Mexican Restaurant Addictions, Duct Tape/Broken VHS Tape Mutilation, Frantic Blow-up Doll Destruction, Unnecessary Panic, Heart Attack Speed Turntable Thrust, Rusty Knife Wielding Eccentric Masturbation, LSD Laced Childhood Flashbacks, Extra Terrestrial OUIJA Freak outs, Shamanistic Ketamine Blackouts, Ritualistic Bukakke Ceremonies, OG Owl Shift Hustlin’, Chopped & Screwed Grindcore, Cross-Dressing Nomadic Pee-Pee Noise, 24/7 Norweigan Black Metal Tributes, Prostitute Pop Poop Sound Collage, Sonic Queso Drenched Neo Arabic/Russian Hardcore, Post-Apocalyptic Ghetto Warfare, German PK380 Recollections, Found Sounds, Avant-Garde, Warped Delerious Tropical Free Jazz/Cannibalism, Subliminal Messages, Outsider Trash Art, Deteriorating Anti-Religious Christmas Jingles On Psilocybin Sojourns, and anything else I decide to meddle with! I use a variety of methods for recording and editing. My live show is a whole other story! Full of controversial theatrics, drag, improv sound manipulation, crowd interaction, humiliation, degredation, toys, costumes, knives, hatchets, saws, danger, uncertainty and a mean buzz to kick it all of! I am in a constant state of evolution!
And here is one of Jay's personal favorite live videos of Dental Work:
Torn Flesh Records does it again! Another super sick release, this time Zombie Death Metal madness! Really great stuff here people, yet another awesome example that free music does not equate to bad music. Super sick shredding, fantastic vocals, and aggressive ass breaks. If you don't download this.... well... you can eat a dick!
Bathetic Records has slowly been making a name for itself in peripheral fields relating to folk, ambient, and experimental re-imaginings of other types of music. Coming up from a truly underground small run cassette and CDR label to releasing vinyl and getting a fair amount of love from people you might expect in such realms, their take on things is always sort of melancholic and nostalgic while always being a little below radar.
Check out this fall mix put together for the label by Sam Goldberg, who has and does a bunch of shit in similar and related realms. Truly autumnal, it is a sort of esoteric lo-fi ambient folk noise experiment that is the sonic equivalent of crisp rainy days and leaf crunching night hikes.
Sam Goldberg - "Supernatural/Natural Fall Mix" Ennio Morricone - The Strong Keith Fullerton Whitman - Schnee Bernard Parmegiani - Ponomatopées Douglas Wood - Drum Fright Angel Rada - Mar De La Tristeza Robert Turman - Freedom From Fear Head-Boggle - Space Frontiers Flower Man - Cappo Nova Vista Ashra - Midnight On Mars Polymer Slug - Giant Breat Beach Boys - Their Hearts Were Full of Spring
The Re-Release of Heroin Eater by Evil Robot Ted, out now for free on Flaccid Plastic Records. Included in this free download is 28 extra minutes of remixes by: dingle, dental work, redsk, yuki run, the horrible red ruler, and magicore's own tooth_eye, and a beautiful lotus. All for free when you click on that link right under this message.
2 track ep from Ohotniki Za Golovami on the consistently awesome net label, Sirona Records. This release is tagged as industrial and ambient, but i dont know if its right to pigeon hole it as such. Dark grooves and murky, distorted vocals. A blockbuster zombie movie soundtrack as merry-go-round jingle.
[tlr] asked me to post this up whenever I released it on my label ROBO! Robotica so here it is. Lair is from deep south Texas and do some really great experimental black metal and is totally worth checking out. If you click the download link you can go directly to the label site and read the full description of the band and download the album for free.
a sick ass mix from Loffciamcore on Splitterkor Rekords Dziwko, a net label started by Loffciamcore specializing in Breakcore, Terrorcore, Extratone, Noise, and Speedcore. If you like this mix be sure to check out there site, there is alot of free music for download.
For more than 30 years the Shortwave radio spectrum has been used by the worlds intelligence agencies to transmit secret messages. These messages are transmitted by hundreds of Numbers Stations.
Shortwave Numbers Stations are a perfect method of anonymous, one way communication. Spies located anywhere in the world can be communicated to by their masters via small, locally available, and unmodified Shortwave receivers. The encryption system used by Numbers Stations, known as a one time pad is unbreakable. Combine this with the fact that it is almost impossible to track down the message recipients once they are inserted into the enemy country, it becomes clear just how powerful the Numbers Station system is.
These stations use very rigid schedules, and transmit in many different languages, employing male and female voices repeating strings of numbers or phonetic letters day and night, all year round.
The voices are of varying pitches and intonation; there is even a German station (The Swedish Rhapsody) that transmits a female child's voice!
One might think that these espionage activities should have wound down considerably since the official end of the cold war, but nothing could be further from the truth. Numbers Stations (and by inference, spies) are as busy as ever, with many new and bizarre stations appearing since the fall of the Berlin wall.
Why is it that in over 30 years, the phenomenon of Numbers Stations has gone almost totally unreported? What are the agencies behind the Numbers Stations, and why are the eastern European stations still on the air? Why does the Czech republic operate a Numbers Station 24 hours a day? How is it that Numbers Stations are allowed to interfere with essential radio services like air traffic control and shipping without having to answer to anybody? Why does the Swedish Rhapsody Numbers Station use a small girls voice?
These are just some of the questions that remain unanswered.
Now you will be able to hear this unique and extraordinary phenomenon for yourself, as Irdial-Discs releases THE CONET PROJECT: the first comprehensive collection of Numbers Stations recordings released to the public.
This Quadruple CD is an important historical reference work for research into this hitherto unreported and unknown field of espionage. The CDs contain 150 recordings spanning the last twenty years; taken from the private archives of dedicated shortwave radio listeners from around the world.
There's more information in the included PDF booklet and via the official site for this 4xCD collection.
not exactly free music, but free sound and as we post noise (which is a matter of a opinion on whether its music or not), and well... im a sound nerd and i think others that stop by this blog are as well. give it a peep. very interesting material here.
heres a treat for all you gamers out there, the silent hill ost never released in the U.S. kind of odd as it was first released here and is set in the U.S. CONSPIRACY! a very useless one but still..≥≤
Funky mashup breakcore punk all the way from France. Released for free on NKS International just in time for you to masturbate your pretty little ears to. Hey, and your welcome.
Put this one on. Then check out Xrin Arms & p.Wrecks – “Underfunded Forever (Only Built 4 Human Stinx)” on Bludclot. This one is decidedly more depraved, more raw, more semi-abrasive. Hip hop for backpack rappers, mohawk punks, longhaired dirtbags, and the bling-a-ling MC massive alike. Reminiscent original beats from the beast Xrin Arms, line after line from p.Wrecks, with some sick guest appearances from a couple dope fools. Twist the mind down a notch or three and put this one in.
This is an interesting release. It's like, from the moment you push play it is a steady march toward awesome. As We Draw start off this split on some screamo type shit I'm not particularly fond of that, despite that, manages to not fail terribly. Holding true, their second effort on this one is better than their first. Euglena are sandwiched in the middle operating on some post-metal and sludge wavelengths and bring 3 tracks of, again, increasing radness perfect for that stoned evening in front of your speakers - each track better than the previous. The treat here, ironically or not, is the last two tracks from Hexis, which are the least well produced in terms of the physics of production but which still manage to come correct with the icing on the cake role - awesome closing tunes to this split release available on vinyl for 10 Euros or name your price (with no minimum) digital download.
This shit is so cult that unless you search black/etc metal blogs - and even then, at times, you simply won't find it. Supreme black cult noise, and nothing else. Ritual ambient, black metal, power electronics, drone noise, all that super evil shit with the "evil" turned up to about +666.
Despite the picture above, this is a great mix of dubstep and other danceable listenable consumeables perfect for a night of debauchery under tonight's full moon. bust out the glow sticks, hope the snow dont stick, and get them pelvis' groovin'!
OH! How the sun shines! blinding and cool on this autumnal morn'! nah srsly tho, this lobit radio show starts off perfect for a morning like it was today here in Chicago. The soundscapes take you places through your mind and memories of nature. Plus it starts off with Pollux charmingly speaking in english! DONT MISS OUT! ch3k y0 531f b4 u wr3k yo 531f foo!
50M3 51Ck 455 C023 four y4LL two GR00V3 two. Porion is the man behind the fantastic label NKS International based out of France. This release has a very dirty punk vibe to it, just how i like my breakcore. We have the awesome Sirona Records to thank. give this a listen, you wont be dissapointed!

Here is a massive amount of material from fellow Chicago resident Halluciphile. A huge DVD packed with more than a score of tracks and a tight video thrown in. Also included in this post is Halluciphile's net release for Soulseek. A plethora of experimental electronic jams to fit just about any mood.
Holy shit! Holy shit! Holy shit! This is like gettin' pregnant when you ain't ever had sex, right up in here. Aural immaculate conception up in this bitch. Motherfucking Jucifer on the ever awesome, ridiculous, incredible, and previously featured Grindcore Karaoke netlabel. I never!
The gypsy like husband and wife duo that is the sonic beast known as Jucifer deliver a free release of their trademark stripped down epic distorted sludge rock which should be heard live and loud on all 76 speakers + 6,500 watts of sound that they herald as their benchmark and which I've experienced live myself. But, in the meantime. Grab this, connect all the audio output devices you own and turn it up real fucking loud. Only after you've smoked about 666 bowls of Kush and drank at least as many skunk beers.
